He has worked as a UK Senior Manager in Automotive Manufacturing, a developer of qualifications and Vice Principal in Education and an international Training Manager based in Dubai. Niall has always attributed his success to the talents, hard work and dedication of his team and the learners he has been fortunate to work with.
The aim of the role is to manage relationships with Jobcentres in the regions following contact from DWP buyers, ensuring that delivery staff in the region have suitable knowledge and skills to deliver programmes and to work with the Quality Lead to ensure that service improvements are being implemented across the region in line with company standards.
Having worked in the Welfare to Work and Education sectors for over 18 years I have well developed knowledge and experience in all aspects. I spent my early career as an IT tutor which then progressed into Welfare to Work and Autism, Asperger’s and SEN support. My personal interests and hobbies include spending time with my Children, Cycling and Motorsport.
The Programme Development Lead collates and analyses information from Skillsmax Tutor Teams and Jobcentres regarding gaps in market provision, and develops, delivers and reports on pilot programmes. Also includes leading on Skillsmax website development and working alongside the Quality Lead to develop suitable resources for new programmes.

Former Principal Lecturer and Leader of Business and Professional Practice in Design at University of Brighton and Loughborough University. Over 30 Years as Senior Partner, The Jake Leith Partnership; Interior Design business. Past President and Trustee of the Chartered Society of Designers and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce). I have considerable experience of working with adults with learning disabilities through Skillsmax and the Rathbone Society. My interests lie in visiting historic places of interest and classical and contemporary music.
My role within Skillsmax is ‘End to End’ Service provision. As a Project Lead, the position includes attending pre- contract meetings (including the promoting of programmes), through relationship management with the JCP’s. In addition, the role as suggested is all encompassing and includes the booking of drop in days and venue’s, interviewing potential learners, recruiting tutors/mentors, and reviewing programme documentation/ literature.
My background is in Aviation Operations & Business management, with over 20 years experience. Key roles have included Business Development & Relationship Management, Staff recruitment and training, certification and Licensing, tactical and strategic operational management and business support and continuity. I am passionate about the programmes Skillmax deliver, the target audience and in particular the ABCD model/programme. My interests include spending time with family & friends, outdoor pursuits and swimming.
I act a consultant for Skillsmax. I write some of the training materials for Skillsmax, and I help with the delivery of the core training units. The idea of life-long learning really appeals to me; many of my own students at school may benefit in the future from the sorts of initiatives and programmes which Skillsmax offers. I have this in mind when I contribute to the work of Skillsmax.
I am a currently serving Headteacher of a secondary school. I have been teaching for more than 30 years in comprehensive secondary schools, and my main subject is English. I still love teaching and I continue to teach even as a Head. My own passion for reading novels keep me up to date on modern literature, and I enjoy film and theatre too.

The Quality and Learner Feedback Lead aims to maximise learners’ overall experience of individual programmes, ensuring quality and uniformity for learners and tutors and continual improvement.
An experienced tutor herself, Kate has supported learners with disabilities and mental health problems and more recently has taught ESOL students and supported them into employment. Personal interests include bird watching, photography and walking,
John is a long standing business person with over 30 years experience. He started out his career working in his own business as a mechanical tradesman and later moved on to establish a thriving business in international freight. He has a wealth of experience as a business manager and brings in vast knowledge in enterprise and business management. He speaks fluent German and enjoys playing football. He is married with Children.
The Employer Engagement and Intelligence Team is responsible for sourcing provisions and engaging with employers nationally . The Team support tutors to engage with Employers in the area where they work. The Employer Engagement and Intelligence Team identifies recruitment events recruitment agencies, open opportunities, jobfairs, Employers per region and pass this on to Tutors who pass this on to their learners to facilitate a positive outcome for Skillsmax programmes.
